1. Practice Name Recognition
Use name cards during arrival or table activities. Children can find their names, match them to pictures, or trace the letters in their names.
2. Read a First-Day Book
Choose a simple book about starting preschool or going to school. Talk about the characters, pictures, and classroom experiences in the story.
3. Classroom Tour
Take children around the classroom and introduce important areas such as the reading corner, art table, cubbies, and bathroom. Talk about what each area is used for.
4. Practice Classroom Routines
