Teaching Ideas
Encourage children to work slowly as they connect each dot in order to complete the whale’s shape. Talk about beluga whales—their color, where they live, and how they move—to build vocabulary and background knowledge. After connecting the dots, invite kids to color the whale using soft winter colors or create an ocean background.
