Indoor Sandcastle Counting Activity
Preschoolers will love this hands-on beach activity that combines sensory play, counting, and creativity!
Materials:
- play dough (for hands-on sculpting)
- Small containers or molds to shape sandcastles
- Numbered flags or craft sticks
- Beach-themed decorations (toy shells, paper cutouts, stickers)
How to Play:
1. Create Sandcastles – Kids can mold play dough into castle shapes using small containers.
2. Label & Decorate – Each castle gets a numbered flag, and kids can add decorations.
3. Counting Challenge - Call out numbers and have kids match the correct sandcastle.
4. Paper Sandcastles– If sand isn’t an option, have children glue numbered paper cutouts onto a beach-themed scene.
