Why I Started Creating Preschool Printables

Where It All Started: Doodles at the Preschool Table

I still remember how preschoolers would crowd around the table with big eyes and even bigger ideas—
“Can you draw a horse?”
“What about a cat?”

Every day turned into a mini art commission, and I loved it.

But soon I realized something magical:
I could sneak in learning without them even noticing.

I’d draw five bales of hay beside the horse…
or a row of alphabet blocks under the cat.

Suddenly it wasn’t just a coloring page
it was counting, letter matching, storytelling, and imagination all at once.

What started as simple doodles turned into little lessons.

And from there…
my first printables were born.

From Crayon Scribbles to Teaching Tools

Back then, I never imagined those on-the-spot drawings would evolve into a full library of classroom-ready resources.

But every time something worked—
every time a child made a connection through play—
it felt worth printing again.
And again.
And again.

I saw how printables could:

  • simplify prep
  • support learning goals
  • connect to weekly themes
  • encourage hands-on exploration
  • inspire storytelling and conversation

That balance—simple, purposeful, and playful—became my mission.

Printables That Fit the Way Preschoolers Learn

Preschoolers learn best with:

  • repetition
  • visuals
  • simple tasks
  • short bursts of practice
  • hands-on support

Designing my own printables allowed me to create exactly what my students needed—not too busy, not too hard, and always developmentally appropriate.

A Printable Is a Hug in Paper Form

My hope is that these resources make life a little easier for you—
whether you're prepping late at night, planning in a pinch,
or just looking to bring more joy into your teaching day.

You deserve tools that feel as thoughtful and fun as the work you do.

And if one printable helps spark curiosity, builds confidence, or makes a child smile?

Then it was worth creating.

Thank you for reading and for being part of this little corner of the preschool world.
